Our 2025 ATD Nashville Conference "Elevating Performance, Empowering People" will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025, and will be hosted at the Dollar General Corporate Headquarters in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
We’re excited to offer two complimentary tickets to the conference for students currently pursuing a career in Learning & Development. Selected recipients will also be recognized at the event. We can’t wait to learn more about your interest in Talent Development!
Eligibility for Student Scholarship:

Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and have a current school email address

Must have a demonstrated interest in a career in Talent Development (instructional design, learning and development, training, organizational development, etc.)
Application Process:
Submit the following information in a Word document or as a PDF to Becky Stottlemyer.
- Your Full Name, School, and Program of Study, and school email address
- Resume or Link to LinkedIn Profile
- Write an essay (500-750 words) detailing your interest in a specific talent development role, to include the following:

- Choose one Talent Development Role of Interest (learn more about specific roles here: https://careerpathways.td.org/explore-roles)
- Describe the Role (Summarize what professionals in this role do. Focus on the main responsibilities and day-to-day work.)
- Compare Two Job Levels for the Role (Find one entry-level and one mid-level job posting for your chosen role. For each, list the key responsibilities and note how the mid-level role differs from the entry-level one.)
- Research Pay and Qualifications (For both job levels, find: common qualifications (education, experience, skills) and pay range in your local area (or the area you plan to work)
- Ask a Pro (Write two thoughtful questions you'd ask someone in this role.)
- Reflect on Your Findings (Explain how this research impacted your interest in the role. Are you more or less interested—and why?)
- Why Attend the ATD Nashville Conference? (Share your interest in attending the conference and how it would be valuable to your career development.)
