Responding with Empathy to
Fear and Anxiety in the Workplace
In-Person Chapter Meeting
This interactive, experiential workshop is designed for talent management professionals, and learning and development professionals who are responsible for onboarding new team members, helping new leaders, and/or leading the organization through change or training those who do.
When people are afraid, they cannot hear what we are telling them. We need to help them feel at ease, safe and a part of the team, so that they can be their best selves. When people are engaged and feel connected, they are more likely to stay with the organization and achieve their best outcomes.
Participants will leave the presentation with strategies to implement upon return to their workplace. As a result of this presentation, participants will:
1) Recognize the impact of fear in the workplace.
2) Discuss the 3 key things that people need when they are afraid.
3) Be able to apply these 3 key things to times of increased anxiety in the workplace, which may include a new job, new leader, and/or organizational change.
