Workshop: Improving Your Learning and Development Projects With Lean Process Improvement Principles

Theme: Related Disciplines

Format: Two Hour Workshop

Lean methodologies are utilized across numerous industries for continuous improvement and to optimize work processes. It is a systematic way of viewing the world and solving problems in a way that maximizes customer value while minimizing waste.

In this workshop you will increase your knowledge of Lean methodologies, learn how to apply them to your learning and development projects, and start to see learning from a new perspective.

This will allow you to distill the message of your existing learning and development work, optimize time in-session for participants, and save hours of wasted time and frustration. You will also see how using these techniques saved over a million dollars by streamlining annual compliance training.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the key principles of Lean process improvement.
  2. Learn how to use some key tools of Lean process improvement.
  3. Discover how to apply Lean principles to improve your existing learning and development projects.
  4. Use hands-on Lean tools to identify areas of improvement for your own learning and development projects.
  5. Receive feedback and coaching, based in Lean principles, to improve your learning and development projects.

Bring an existing learning and development project (project plan, e-learning, outline, strategy, slide deck, handout, workbook, etc.) to use in-session, as you’ll be given time and coaching to apply what you’ve learned to improve your project.

New Workshop Format: one of our four formats for 2020, the workshop format is a two hour session mixing expert presentation with hands-on application.  You will both learn new skills and practice using those skills in a workshop environment.
