February Topic: "Building Gaming Elements"
Last year at an ID SIG/Storyline Group joint meeting, Mitch Canter presented some of the theory, background, and science of gamification. Now it's time to figure out how we can leverage that information to build gaming elements into our courses that will speak to the different gaming personalities.
If you weren't able to make the gamification speaker, check out the recording.
This month, we'll do a quick recap on the four types of gamers, discuss various ways we can build interactions and elements that cater to those types, and then have some time devoted to building basic versions of those concepts.
To get the most out of this session, please bring a laptop with at least a trial version of Storyline installed.
Bring some snacks, bring your laptop and charger, bring some headphones (if you enjoy music while developing), and get ready for a meeting full of build time!
