October Chapter Meeting and Joint Luncheon with MT|SHRM:
Implementing Coaching Programs in the Workplace - A Panel Discussion From Those Who Have Done it Successfully
Event Description
Coaching is an individualized process that can help your organization meet its strategic objectives. The ATD Competency Model defines Coaching as "Applying a systematic process to improve others’ ability to set goals, take action, and maximize strengths."
Coaching programs in organizations take many forms. Some organizations use coaching as a part of their leadership development programs, to reinforce learning and build leadership competencies. Many offer executive coaching to C-Suite leaders or high potentials, which may include internal or external coaches. Additionally, coaching is frequently implemented as part of a change management strategy when significant organizational transformation is necessary. By training leaders to be internal coaches, companies can drive organizational change and improve performance, thus achieving strategic objectives. There is also a time and a place for an experienced external coach.
Whether you are interested in taking a small step towards implementing your first formal coaching program, or you are ready to transform your workplace into a "coaching culture," you will want to hear from others who have experience leading successful coaching initiatives. In this panel discussion, you'll have a chance to learn what works (and what doesn't) from those who have done it before.
