Virtual Chapter Meeting

Join us to learn a comprehensive methodology that will guide you through any facilitated session that includes preparing, starting, executing, and closing a session while managing group dynamics like handling dysfunction, getting to consensus, and keeping the energy high.

In this session you will learn six key tools you can begin using immediately:

  • The Facilitator's Methodology which will work for every facilitated session.
  • The questions to answer so that you can confidently understand the session purpose and prepare for the session.
  • A formula for opening any session that answers the key questions participants have including "Why am I here?" and "Why should I care?"
  • Understanding dysfunctional behavior (hint: it's a symptom!)
  • A formula for addressing dysfunctional behavior that works every time!
  • Techniques for dealing with the "Naysayer" participant.

Dave Adelman has been a member of the Atlanta Chapter since he moved to Atlanta in 2008. He has served the chapter as President, Senior Advisor, Board of Directors, VP Community Relations, Director of Employee Learning Week, and various Director roles within Community Relations including Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill, Atlanta Community Food Bank, United Way, and Strategic Partnerships.

Dave is the President of Adelman Solutions Group and has more than 25 years of experience as a Training Leader, Instructional Designer, Facilitator, e-Learning Designer, and Project Manager with world-class companies including Disney and Merck. He is an experienced consultant to senior leadership with deep experience in assessing training needs, identifying performance improvement opportunities, and delivering performance improvement interventions. Dave's experience includes creating comprehensive, branded, measurable training processes for the organization that are integrated with the talent management process, address performance gaps, and minimize costs while maximizing return on investment.

When not working, Dave is a Brother in the Knights of Columbus, and is President of Covert Hops Society, Atlanta’s largest and oldest home brew club. He is also an award-winning home brewer and Certified Beer Judge. Dave enjoys spending time with his family, reading, hiking, and travelling.
