The Stories We Live in Shape the Stories We Live Out
Chapter Meeting

We are all writing stories with the lives that we lead. In that sense, we are each authors of particular stories.

You are the author of your life (how many of us think about the different “chapters” of our lives?), but you’re also the author of your role at work, of how you show up each day, of what you accomplish over the course of the year, and so on.

For better or worse, you serve as a co-author for others’ stories, as well. You co-author the stories of those around you — your team, your organization, your friends, your family, your broader community.

This isn’t something we necessarily choose to do, it’s something that happens whether we accept it or not. Words are hitting the page with every action (or inaction) we take. And the stories we’re living out are necessarily influenced by the stories we’re living in — meaning, what we believe and how we make sense of the world around us shapes the choices we make and the actions we take.

In this session, we will introduce a framework for thinking about how this plays out day-to-day and moment-to-moment, exploring how we can become better attuned to the stories we aspire to live out and what stories we might need to live in to support those stories.

Join us for a great session, delicious food, informal networking, and free garage parking!
