This Instructional Design SIG session focuses on an ID challenge to create a microlearning unit within a broader learning cluster. Bring your own device and app to create a 5-minute learning unit and be prepared to share your work with the rest of the group. By the end of the session, your learning unit should include a theme, menu, content, knowledge check, and summary. Bonus points will be awarded for creating a visual representation of the other elements in the learning cluster. You'll receive coaching and feedback along the way to ensure you leave the session with the confidence you need to implement your ideas on the job in your instructional design role.
Your host for each ID SIG session is Paula O'Brien, M.Ed., PMP, an Instructional Designer of 16 years whose expertise involves developing materials for virtual/instructor-led training, creating eLearning curricula for Team Members who directly impact the customer experience, and managing her projects across business segments. Paula's portfolio represents her creativity and passion for designing engaging instruction, continually learning and exploring new delivery modalities, and mentoring others. Her courses have been delivered to enlisted military, veterans, technology professionals, medical staff, and retail teams
