ATD Nashville's New Year Open House Event

Event Description

Join us for an interactive learning and sharing event featuring professional development, feedback sessions, and new connections. Find out how to make the most of your ATD membership, participate in games and activities, win prizes, and provide input that will help shape the future of the chapter.

In this unconventional meeting format, we will ask participants to move from one “station” to another every 15 minutes. You’ll have the chance to select and visit the 5 stations that interest you most. Choose from areas such as:

• Career Connections and Mentor Match-Up: Explore opportunities for employment, meet others who might be a good fit for your organization, learn about the ATD Nashville Mentoring Program, and talk to board members about how we can help you reach your professional development goals in 2015.
  
• Getting to Know ATD Game: Compete against others to find out how well you know ATD, answer trivia questions to win prizes, and discover new information about the organization.  Winners of this game will be entered to win the grand prize at the end of the evening!
  
• Programs and Events: Find out what ATD Nashville has planned for programs in 2015, and add your voice to let us know what you’d like to learn more about. 
  
• Getting Involved with the Chapter: Meet members of the 2015 ATD Nashville board and learn the various ways you can engage with the chapter, including volunteer opportunities.  Board members will share 2015 goals and ask for your input.  You can even join or renew your membership on the spot.
  
• Icebreakers and Conversation Starters: Participate in some fun activities to help you connect with others and open interesting dialogues.  Come away with some new ideas for activities to incorporate into your own training programs or teambuilding events.
  
• Experiential Learning Activities: Participate in a sample experiential learning activity and learn more about incorporating more of these types of activities into your own programs.  Find out about the services offered by Hippo Solutions, founded by ATD Nashville member Mark Kenny.
• CPLP Conversation: Discuss CPLP Certification with others, including those who are already a CPLP, currently pursuing the CPLP, or considering doing so.  You'll get the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the value of CPLP Certification.  You can also sign up for a CPLP Study Group.    

Please keep in mind that there will be more stations than rotation periods, which means you’ll get to visit just the stations that appeal to you most.  You might want to plan out ahead of time which stations you want to visit.

And, as always, there will be plenty of time for networking and enjoying refreshments!

Important Note: This event will begin at 4:00 pm. There will be less upfront networking time than our traditional meeting format. This is so we can maximize the time you have at each station. Therefore, we are asking that you try to arrive by 4, or as close to 4 as possible. Be advised that if you arrive later than 4:30, you will have fewer rotation periods and will not be able to visit the full 5 stations.
